Wish I could display my awards in the sidebar but I think I would have to pay a subscription to WordPress to be able to have extra widgets … is that right?

Mya presented me with a shiny new award a couple of weeks ago. 

I apparently made her day by suggesting that her boobs may be bigger than she thinks they are (?!).

I am truly honoured, Mya … and have never before received an award for anything quite as bizarre.  Thank you!

Another veg box is coming tomorrow … and I still have about 5 carrots and the swede to eat!

Just looked at my blog stats and seen that this site has been viewed 116 times today!  Usually when I haven’t written for a post for ages the number of people visiting my blog plummets.  Weird.

My mobile phone was stolen this week and I am really annoyed.

I had just got off the bus I had taken from Liverpool Street to Holborn, on the way to my Spanish class.  I had been checking my text messages on the bus and (I think) I remember putting it in the front pocket of my rucksack. 

Outside Sainsbury’s in Holborn, I waited to cross the road.  I felt someone brush against me but didn’t think anything of it - it was rush hour and there were lots of people around.

Once across the road, I went to look at my phone to check the time.  I took the rucksack off my back and then I noticed that the front pocket was open.  My phone was gone. 

I’m sure I didn’t leave it on the bus, and I don’t think it fell out of my bag - I would have heard it.  I think that the person who brushed against me at the crossing pickpocketed me as I waited to cross the road.  The bastard!

More than anything I am upset about the fact that on the phone was a recording of my nephew from about a year ago.  He has grown up so much since and now sounds completely different.  I’ve also lost loads of people’s numbers.  Plus I’ve got to buy a new phone, as I didn’t have any insurance.  All very inconvenient.

I just hope that whoever took it feels at least a little bit guilty.

The NHS has certainly got their money’s worth out of me today.  I started work at 9.30  this morning and I’m just about to go home now - 8.45pm.

It’s Friday evening.  I can’t go on like this.  There is more to life than speech and language therapy reports.

“But why is she still doing SLT reports?” , I hear you cry.  “I thought she’d packed all that malarkey in”. 

Ahaaa!  All will be revealed …  

I somehow managed to delete the last post (about the Hitler T-shirt) when I was editing the timestamp.  Not sure what happened …  Apologies to Gastropunk, Brennig and Pierre who commented.  I have your comments in my e-mail, so when I get a moment I’ll re-write the post (as I think it’s quite an interesting subject), and if you three are happy with me doing so, I will re-post your comments.
