Carpe Diem

I should have … and now it’s too late.

Can’t go into details, but those who know will know what I mean.

And I’m feeling rather sad about it all.

ps Pierre: I saw your lovely review of Petite Anglaise’s book on Amazon. Great book, isn’t it?

It is indeed a lovely book. I started it late Saturday afternoon, and didn’t really do anything else until Sunday evening.
I am pretty sure she has already said that book 2 is fiction though.

Did you see my comment on her website then? I was expecting the book to talk about her ‘doocing’ and so on but it didn’t.

I did indeed see your comment. I started reading her around July 2006 (my first ever blog, so she remains very special to me…). So I think I arrived when “Lover” was in the past, but still being talked about. I haven’t read all that much of her archives, so I learned quite a few things from the book (and did go looking for some of the original posts while I was reading the book.
I am sure that, like OneTrack, she has had to change the way she writes because of no longer being anonymous. I believe “The Boy” reads the blog (and sometimes comments); indeed, having set up an informal competition to try to guess which of her Facebook “fans” is “The Boy”, she hasn’t confirmed the very plausible guess that another reader came up with. All this to say that I suspect we are not going to get a “Petite II”, so let’s hope she writes interesting fiction that we all enjoy.
You seem to have had a lot of sad times recently; I hope things will improve for you in the near future. Many, many hugs.

Petite was also the first blog that I started to read on a regular basis — probably around April 2007? However, I back-tracked and read all her archived posts. There were a few things in the book that were very similar to the blog, but not much. And in fact, there were many details in the book that weren’t in the blog. I was very impressed that in spite of the fact that I knew the outcome of the story she managed to keep me hooked to the end.

Thanks for your hugs, as always xx
