Happy New Year!

Here are my New Year resolutions, all ‘SMART’, of course - I’m a speech therapist, after all.

 1. Eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.

Easy enough, I think - I’ve already had two today!

2. No longer take any plastic carrier bags from shops.

A bit more difficult? I have mentioned this to several people, and the general concensus is  that this is not achievable.  I considered allowing myself a quota of, say, twelve bags for the year, but decided against it.  I tried that a couple of years ago and I very quickly went back to my carrier bag-hungry ways.  So, the rule is, if I don’t have a bag with me, and I can’t carry it, I’ll just have to leave it in the shop.

3. Eat no chocolate for one month.

I used to love chocolate, but I’ve gone off it recently, so one month is achievable, I think.  Of course, I may think differently this time next week …

How about you?  Any New Year resolutions?
