Brainteaser

I read the following brainteaser in “Weekend” (The Guardian’s Magazine) the other day.  Can you work out the answer?
The Police raid a house to arrest a suspected murderer - all they know is that his name is Peter.  They burst in on a lorry driver, a mechanic and a fireman playing poker and they arrest the fireman.  [...]

Can you see me?

Here’s the moment I burst onto the Bollywood scene.  I’m somewhere in the crowd (about 2 minutes 45 seconds in) dancing and singing along to the music.

Random facts about me

Genevieve tagged me a while back to reveal seven random facts about myself.  I did something like this once before, but I’ve managed to come up with eight more … although one of them is not true…  can you guess which one?!
Here goes …
1. My birthday is the same day as Kylie Minogue’s … although I’m five [...]

Creative blogging

I have another blog award!  This one comes courtesy of Jane over at  I carried a Watermelon -THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Wish I could display my awards in the sidebar but I think I would have to pay a subscription to WordPress to be able to have extra widgets … is that right?

A bit of overdue blog admin

Mya presented me with a shiny new award a couple of weeks ago.

I am truly honoured, Mya … and have never before received an award for anything quite as bizarre.  Thank you!

Well, I saw his friend (the good looking one with the long black hair) on the DLR the other day.  In the documentary, [...]

Goths and dog leads

Very strange.  Why didn’t he just carry her onto the bus or put her into a giant pet carrier or something?  That’s what you’d do with a dog, isn’t it?
Personally, I wouldn’t want to be led around on a lead, but it takes all sorts.  I rather like the idea of someone cleaning my flat, though.

Yikes

Another veg box is coming tomorrow … and I still have about 5 carrots and the swede to eat!

Back on the treadmill

Well, I survived my first day back at work.
I ended up leaving later than I had planned to this evening - 7.15pm  (not good) … but then I did arrive at the shockingly late time of 10.25 this morning (couldn’t get out of bed), so perhaps I shouldn’t complain.
I had such a lovely break over Christmas [...]

Gloomy Thursday

I really, really don’t want to go back to work tomorrow.  I could do with another fortnight off.
Where did the last two weeks go?
