Today has been pretty dull and uneventful.
I have been at home most of the day, as I am still suffering from a nasty cold. Actually, I can’t believe how long I have been ill. It started on Tuesday last week, and I am still suffering now 12 days later. I initially felt sick and dizzy, and my symptoms have been changing ever since. I’ve had headaches, a sore throat, muscle ache, weak legs and a (very) snotty nose.
Today, I am feeling a lot better, but now I can’t hear properly and I also have sinus pain. I am really fed up with being a “sicky bubba” as my nephew would say.
So, what did I do today? Hold tight folks, this is exciting stuff …
I woke up at about 11.15 (due to sheer exhaustion), had some porridge with raisins for breakfast, did the massive pile of washing up left over from yesterday, had a bath, ate a sausage sandwich (kindly made for me by L.), faffed around on the computer and then watched the penultimate episode of Rome, before popping out to Sainsbury’s to buy some food.
Like I said, exciting stuff. Although, to be honest, I don’t think I could have managed anything else as I’m so exhausted.
This evening I am going to watch the last (sob!) episode of Rome. My prediction is that Lucius Vorenus dies, but I hope that’s not the case, as that would probably rule out a third series being made.
Did anyone else like this series as much as me?

Didn’t see it – we yokels only have BBC1, BBC2, ITV & C4.
But get well soon.

Hello SG. I am sorry to read that you have been so ill. 12 days is a long time to feel rotten in that sort of way.
I acquired a copy of Rome on DVD, following your glowing recommendation. So far I have only watched the extra where they described how realistic they were trying to make it. I will start watching it properly as soon I finish my current book.

Brennig: thanks. I’m feeling a bit better today – still can’t hear very well, though.
Pierre: hope you enjoy Rome … let me know!

Poor you! Ill for so long. I hope you’re feeling a bit brighter soon – look after yourself – and don’t go crosseyed with too much Tetris!

As Mya says, a Happy Christmas to you SG. I hope you will indeed be well enough to enjoy it, and later tell us about it. I’m not suffering from any colds or such like at the moment, just feeling old.
