I feel terrible
I’ve just had a job interview that went so very, very badly. It was for an SLT post within my current Trust and the interview was with my line manager. However, as I (think I) want to leave SLT, I really shouldn’t have bothered.
I feel completely numb and embarrassed now. The questions weren’t even that hard, but I just went blank.
What if they think that I am incapable of doing my current job, too? Oh fucking hell.
And now I’ve got to see kids for initial assessments this afternoon. And I’ve got a million reports to write.
I just want to live off the land and never have to work again.

Oh dear, my poor SG. I am sorry to read that you had such a bad day on Tuesday. Thank you very much for replying to my message
and I am pleased to see from subsequent messages that you seem
to have recovered. Many commiserations and cyber-hugs.

I feel like you’re talking about me.
That’s exactly how I felt after most of my job interviews lately :’-(
Too much emotions maybe? Too nervous? The kind of things that prevents you from keeping your head cool and your ideas clear…
See it as a good practice., though. And learn from your mistakes
Next time, (much) better !
Good luck.

Pierre: Thanks again for your cyber hugs and for your e-mail - they made me feel a lot better.
Brennig: you’re right. And did you know that ‘bless’ is Icelandic for ‘bye’?
Tippie: Not sure what happened - probably a mixture of tiredness and stress… thanks for your good wishes.
