It’s grey and damp in Stratford this afternoon. I’m ‘off’ work today, yet so far, I’ve spent the whole day working. The frenzied teddy bear making of the last few days has meant that I didn’t get time to complete something that has to be done by today. Grrr.
God, I hate speech and language therapy. If anyone’s thinking of becoming an SLT – don’t do it! Please contact me and I’ll e-mail you back a long list of reasons to avoid this profession like the plague. (I really need a career change).
On a brighter note, my very good friend Maths Chick is back from a month long trip around Europe today! I’m looking forward to seeing her and hearing about her adventures.
That’s it for now … I’m going to pop out for a walk around the Olympic Village before I plough on with this crap err… work.

Ah.. Orléans … Je connais un peu ce coin de la France. J’avais un copain qui habitait à Vendôme (entre Tours et Orléans)…
Quant au Dome, maintenant ça s’appelle “The O2″. Lorsqu’il a été construit, bcp d’anglais le trouvaient moche et pensaient que c’était ce qu’on appelle en anglais ‘a white elephant’ – c’est-à-dire un truc cher et superflu. Maintenant, j’ai l’impression que les londoniens l’aiment mieux … aujourd’hui ça s’utilise pour des concerts et ce genre de truc.
Desolée, j’ai la flemme d’écrire dans 2 langues…!

I used to work at Crossharbour and our office overlooked the Dome. I was very fond of it, always have been in fact. That area of Greenwich was a S***hole for so long, it was great when they started doing something with it. Does anyone know if The Pilot public house is still open?
