Help!
I can’t work this out. Why can’t I have nice little pictures that fit where I want them to, like everyone else? Whenever I try to upload a picture, it’s huge. If I cut and paste then I can’t change the size. Anyone know about pictures in WordPress?

I know my blog uses a WordPress database but my upload/photo manipulation is different to yours.

A few suggestions for you! After uploading from your file, your editor gives you a choice of thumbnail or full-page. If you send to the editor full page, it will be too large but don’t fret. While in the write post, click on the image and you will see resizing squares at the corners and in the middle of the vertical sides of your photo. Move your cursor over the squares in the middle and move it inward to reduce the width. You can do the same on the height. Now you resize to the size you desire.
Other choice is to get one of those free photo share accounts where you can upload your own images. From these accounts (at least most), you can take an uploaded photo or image and resize it to thumbnail, small, medium or large. If you upload thumbnails or small photos, you can send them to your post via the editor and choose the thumbnail or full page option. The smaller the phot, the less space you take up in WP.
I hope this helps and is as clear as mud. Came across your post and experienced the same problem. Had to do it through trial and error.
