No!
No Mr “I’ve got the longest bogies in the world and I’m going to send you one through the post as a nice surprise” First Boyfriend, I do not want to be your friend on Facebook. Nor on My Space, so piss off.
Yuk. What did I see in him?

OH nooooooooo! That’s vile!
First boyfriends are always vile. I think it’s so that we appreciate the next one. However, second boyfriends are also vile.
Men!
Can’t live with them…

Why do I feel the need for a little gender balance here?
My first girlfriend was an absolute cow; 18 months of hell she put me through and gave me so many complexes about how I should/shouldn’t, can/can’t interact with members of the opposite sex that I’m not altogether sure I’ve got them all out of my system even now.
She was a teasing, taunting, tantrum-obsessed bitch and she broke my heart on a regular basis.
However…
My last girlfriend was so wonderful I married her as soon as she said ‘yes’.

Got a message on Facebook from a good school-friend’s ex-husband, a lad we also went to school with saying “I bet you hate me, hahahahahaha”.
I wonder why he wasted his time and effort?
Since he cheated on my friend only 18 weeks after she’d given birth to their honeymoon baby…then, yes, I pretty much hate him.
And no, I didn’t waste my own time with a response.
And I am the lucky wife of Brennig, by the way

Hi Soph,
Thanks for your message and thanks for dropping by! I’ll check out your blog now…
Yes, it’s strange how people send these random messages years after the event. I broke up with Mr Snot in 1991!

Just think, if you’d ended up marrying him you’d be Mrs Snot now! And…just running with this one a bit…if your surname just happened to be Green (which, let’s face it, it could be. It’s not that uncommon a name) - you could be Mrs Green-Snot. How revolting is that?

That IS revolting! I love strange/ unusual names.
My favourite ever was an acquaintance of a friend in France. The poor girl had no idea how much English-speakers sniggered when they heard her name: Fanny Gonzalez. (Sorry, Fanny!)

Hello SG. I’m not sure whether inserting links to other blogs in the comment box is good etiquette, but I seem to be getting into the habit. Sorry… Meg Pickard has a very interesting piece about Facebook on her blog:
