Miserable day

It’s grey and damp in Stratford this afternoon.  I’m ‘off’ work today, yet so far, I’ve spent the whole day working.  The frenzied teddy bear making of the last few days has meant that I didn’t get time to complete something that has to be done by today.  Grrr.
God, I hate speech and language therapy.  If anyone’s [...]

Help!

I can’t work this out.  Why can’t I have nice little pictures that fit where I want them to, like everyone else?  Whenever I try to upload a picture, it’s huge.  If I cut and paste then I can’t change the size.  Anyone know about pictures in WordPress?

If I have to colour in one more teddy bear …

Yes, this is what the NHS pays me for.  We’re having a resource-making week at work, and this is how I spent the whole day.
And it didn’t stop at teddies.  Once I’d finished the bears, it was on to their clothes.  Then their friends (big and little dolly) and their winter wardrobe.  Tomorrow, it’s musical instruments.
It was [...]

Tidy up time

L. has been away for the last month and the flat is looking … well … not much like a flat anymore.  More like a slum, really.  I am going to have to spend the rest of the day tidying and cleaning in preparation for his imminent return.  What a way to spend a hot Bank [...]

Rachel from North London’s book

I bought Rachel North’s book, “Out of the Tunnel”, this weekend, after reading Brennig’s review.  I read it practically non-stop, and finished it yesterday morning.
I had heard about Rachel through various other blogs, and had paid her website a visit on a few occasions.  I knew that she had been on one of the trains that was [...]

What do you think?

TalkTalk have finally got their act together and I now have broadband internet access at home.  About bloody time, too.
I have been without internet access - whilst continuing to be being billed by them - for the last two months.  I have made around 30 phone calls to try to sort this out, have been kept on [...]

No!

No Mr “I’ve got the longest bogies in the world and I’m going to send you one through the post as a nice surprise” First Boyfriend, I do not want to be your friend on Facebook.  Nor on My Space, so piss off.
Yuk.  What did I see in him?

One last moan (sorry!)

Right.  This is the last time I complain about TalkTalk on this blog.  After this, no more.  I promise.
Called BT.  Gonna cost £125 to switch back to them due to the technology that the TalkTalk use not being the same as BT’s.
Will take 10 working days to switch.
Only then can I request Broadband from Waitrose (or whoever [...]

Perhaps I shouldn’t moan after all …

Well, it seems that TalkTalk might not be the worst telecommunications company after all.  I’ve just read on the internet about a woman who was kept on hold by BT for a total of twenty  … yes, TWENTY …  hours!
Apparently she called their helpline after an engineer failed to turn up to install a telephone line [...]

Paperclip, part 2

Regular readers of this blog will remember that, a while back, I wrote a riveting post about a paperclip which I had found in a biscuit I was eating.  A couple of days later, having nothing better to do, I wrote a letter of complaint to Foxes outlining the trauma I had suffered. (Oh yes, [...]
