Eight things about me

I’ve been tagged by the lovely Miss Despina.  Hope you enjoy these random facts about yours truly …

1.  I work as a speech and language therapist.  I got into it by accident, not really having a clue what speechies do.  I now know it’s definitely not for me.

2.   I recently assessed the child of someone famous!  For reasons of confidentiality, I couldn’t possibly reveal who it was … but I must admit, I was rather starstruck.

3.   I went on holiday to Texas and took a driving test while I was there.  I now have both a British and a U.S. driving licence.

4.  My favourite TV shows are currently: Peep Show, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos (I have a secret crush on Tony!)

5.  I lived in France for five years before starting my speech therapy course.  I miss it.

6.  I’ve been wearing the wrong bra size for years!  I discovered this last month when my friend recommended I go for a fitting at Bravissimo.  Epiphany!

7.  I’m a card carrying member of Republic.  If it were up to me, the Royals would be living in a council flat in Peckham before you could say “outdated, undemocratic system of power and privilege”.

8.  I haven’t told any of my real life friends or family about this blog.

So there you go.

Ahhh I’m so GLAD your blogging again!

Had no idea you’d lived in France for 5 years…thats long! You can always cure your nostalgia for it by coming to stay at Princesse Headquarters over there in a few months :-) I think I shall be needing some ‘non frog’ contact by then!

It is indeed very nice too be reading you again. About item 8, I haven’t noticed anything in this blog that you would want to hide from your real-life friends and family, but I am sure you are aware that they may well find out eventually. Somehow, I don’t think item 6 is going to give you away though. I am originally from Canada but lived in France for 3 years in the 70s; it was certainly a very pleasant place then, and I am sure it is still good now.
Thanks to Miss Despina for tagging you!

You are a woman of mystery! And another French-speaker, we like that. I find the idea of speech therapy interesting, I need to work on a lispy S before I can even consider music college. Well done for keeping the blog private and separate from real-life, as wish I had done. And thanks for the comment on my blog,as I felt a wee bit disloyal for posting…

    Hi SG
I haven’t clocked up five years in France yet - I’m still loving it after four. Texas is another place I love, especially right down the bottom, Big Bend is phenomenally beautiful.
All I know about tomatoes is how to kill them, failing that, how to pinch them out so badly they become the only barren tomato plants in the department. So, what advice did you want?
